Been following different companies that distribute clevo laptops like sager and prostar but i wanted to get more input from others who may have used them. what are ya'lls thoughts on them? been interested in getting a laptop for emulation and gaming and like to hear you're opinions on them.
Edit: forgot to add, if anyone knows how upgradable they are seeing as clevo has some modular designed for laptops

if you can, whats the difference between the max Q and map P variants?
In terms of upgradability, some of the Clevo laptops come with desktop sockets so you can upgrade the CPU as well. The only thing you cant upgrade is the GPU.
Like the SAGER NP7958C (CLEVO NH58AC) has the AM4 socket and take Ryzen desktop CPUs https://xoticpc.com/products/sager-np7958c-clevo-nh58ac?variant=31707326808126&gclid=CjwKCAjwtqj2BRBYEiwAqfzurw_asIZnH8jk2YzWyCKr1Jzyb7JNJJyu5e4dGmHf5evMFOM2x5s8LBoCUyQQAvD_BwE
I have also been eyeing the Clevo laptops, the new 17" is the only 17" laptop with a 2070 super and gsync that I have seen. All for under $2000. On the fence on the clevo or the MSI Ge75 raider without gsync. The build quality and reliability is what I'm mostly concerned with personally.
Most are pretty good, but my fav is this Eluktronics MAG-15 Slim, if you want specific recommendations you can fill out our form and we will do our best to help
They seem to be pretty reliable. They buy chips, graphic cards and all other computer components and put them together for you and that is what allows them to sell it pretty cheaply.
They have gained the trust of alot of people and people love them because if the endless customization options. You can choose to not install an OS, add different thermal compound, bump the power on the GPU a bit. They are reliable and trustworthy.
They just announced a beast they will launch next month which has the new AMD Ryzen 4000 series chips with a 2060 MAX P (not max Q which most laptops use)
