Low Power Mode iPhone shortcut

I want to create a shortcut that automatically turns on LPM when the phone charges to 80% because I don't like that Apple turns it off when the battery charges to 80%. I want LPM to be on at all times.

The trouble is I'm having difficulty getting it to turn on by itself without me having to press anything. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Running iOS 12.4.1 by the way. Is this something that will be fixed with iOS 13?

Its easy on iOS 13. I do use this! An automation who activates LPM when LPM is deactivated. Everytime it happens, the automation runs and iPhone get back to low power mode.

Automations are what you after, and theyre not in iOS12s Shortcuts

There is no battery charge level trigger for automations.

1. Get battery level

2. If battery level > 80

3. Turn LPM on

This should work, no?

Yes but thats a shortcut, not an automation trigger. It would need to be run manually.

No, but Ive seen several images of automations tab and none show battery level. Plus several others have confirmed it.

Not on 13, but could you tie it to every time I launch an app though? Almost automatic battery check + actions?

Yes. I might create an automation like that as well, but Im waiting until 13 to see how much extra time it adds. If its low, Id have several kinds of checks performed.
